MediaTek has introduced the 5G Dimensity 800 Chipset. This chipset was introduced at a presentation in Bejing, China recently. MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset is targeted to target mid-range or middle-class smartphone 5G in 2020, especially 5G smartphones.
As reported by the NDTV gadget, the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset will become a competitor for the Kirin 800 series and Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series. Reportedly this chipset will be implanted with an Helio M70 modem that was previously revealed.
This modem alone can reach speeds of 4.7 Gbps downlink and 2.5 Gbps uplink.
This chipset is said to be a more affordable solution than Dimensity 1000 / L which can be found on the Oppo Reno3 smartphone. MediaTek promises an increase in performance and battery life of up to 20 percent when compared to chipsets supported by the Cortex-A76 core unit.
Previously, the Density 5G chipset series was first introduced by MediaTek in early December, through its first chipset, the Density 1000. The Density family series is claimed to offer speed and intelligence capabilities in it that can be optimized by technology that requires a 5G connection.
Diversity 1000 is called MediaTek as a single solution with an integrated 5G modem created from 7nm fabrication technology. Unfortunately, MediaTek does not want to reveal the details of the specifications of this 5G chipset. The new possibility was revealed at CES 2020 which was held in Las Vegas, United States.
